Cowes Classics Day

On Sunday 1st June, Cowes Classics Day, organised by the Royal London Yacht Club as part of Cowes Classics Regatta, Isle of Wight residents and visitors will be able to enjoy a free display of 60 vintage cars and classic boats meeting the owners, finding out more about their history and care. Asil Nadir's 1986 Bentley Continental will be on display – one of the last Bentley's to be coach built and following careful restoration - took part in the 2023 Le Mans Classic Meeting.

Among the classic boats moored on Trinity Landing this year we have Steam Pinnace 199 – the last known functioning Pinnace and a unique part of our naval heritage. A welcome to all, this special free day is organised by the Royal London Yacht Club and supported by Cowes Town Council. There is something for all ages with displays, entertainment and refreshment stalls in the heart of Cowes. On the water classic yachts competing in Cowes Classics Regatta will add to the spectacle.

Cowes Classics Regatta

Over 150 boats will be sailing varied courses set in the Solent including Metre boats, Classic Racing Dayboats, Classic Yachts, Old Gaffers and Spirit of Tradition Yachts. Racing will run from the 30th May to the 2nd June 2025 and there will be two races a day or three if weather conditions permit.

The event attracts a wide variety of classic yachts ranging from fleets of one-design dayboats, to unique classics from a bygone era.

There will be many social parties held at different club venues including afternoon tea, as well as a gala awards ceremony to celebrate the sailing.

Cowes Classics Regatta provides a week of varied, challenging and fun racing in Cowes.
