The Royal Hotel has received its record AA quality inspection rating. The Ventnor hotel achieved an AA Merit Score (85%) retaining its 4 Silver Stars for 2023, and scoring the equivalent of a 5 Star rating.
This score places The Royal as the Island's top, premier luxury hotel once again, as well as a top food destination, achieving 2 AA Rosettes for an unrivaled 28th consecutive year.
The AA rating is reached by assessment of overall quality and six critical areas of quality (Cleanliness, Hospitality, Service, Bedrooms, Bathrooms and Food). As well as services & facilities required to reach a star rating.
The hotel’s highest merit scores were in its hospitality (91%) and its service (88%), a remarkable achievement for any hotel and a credit to The Royal's staff.
The 5 star assessment refers to a genuine, friendly, smiling team across the hotel; who greet guests personally, by name, promptly offer help and assistance and have good knowledge of the hotel and its services.
