Following the reopening of The Royal Hotel on the 14th July, the hotel committed to support the health and wellbeing of the local NHS Staff through the work of the Isle of Wight NHS Trust. For every accommodation booking made, The Royal made a donation to The Trust. The Royal are proud to have raised £1,581.00 through accommodation bookings.
The Isle of Wight NHS Trust supports and enhances the work of the NHS staff by providing the 'extras' which are not automatically funded. The Royal’s donation will go towards the specific fund of supporting the Health and Wellbeing of staff who continue to work tirelessly throughout this pandemic.
On collecting the donation at The Royal Hotel, Deputy Chief Executive of the Isle of Wight NHS Trust, Darren Cattell said:
‘I am delighted to be accepting this very generous donation on behalf of all our staff who have been working incredibly hard throughout the pandemic. We are extremely grateful to The Royal for raising this money and we will be putting it towards our plans to hold an end of year staff thank you next month.’
William Bailey, Chairman of The Royal Hotel, Ventnor said:
‘We are so pleased to be able to support The Isle of Wight NHS Trust and recognise their incredible service during these challenging times. This donation is to say thank you to the NHS and support the health and wellbeing of the staff. We would like to send our best wishes to the team, and we will be thinking of them during the coming weeks’.
