What a joy it was to welcome LeBlanq Joyride Festival to The Royal Hotel.
This past Saturday, the Isle of Wight played host to Joyride Festival 2026, a celebration of cycling, wellness, food and music that brought riders together to explore the beauty of our Island.
The Royal was proud to support more than 250 riders on their journey, providing a well-earned rest stop with drinks, bites and refreshments after they made their way along Ventnor Bay and up the mighty Bath Road.
There was a fantastic atmosphere in our gardens as cyclists arrived, recharged and enjoyed a moment to pause before continuing their route across the Isle of Wight.
Set above Ventnor Bay, The Royal has long been known for its warm hospitality, beautiful gardens and coastal setting. For Joyride Festival, those elements came together perfectly.
Our gardens became a place for riders to catch their breath, enjoy refreshments and soak up the atmosphere before heading back out on the road. From the energy of the cyclists to the buzz around the hotel, it was a wonderful reminder of how special events can bring a place to life.
Supporting events like this matters to The Royal. They bring energy, new audiences and unforgettable experiences to the Isle of Wight, while showcasing the very best of our landscapes, hospitality and community spirit.
A huge well done to everyone involved in Joyride Festival 2026, and to every rider who conquered Bath Road.
LeBlanq Joyride Festival is exactly the kind of experience that shows how flexible The Royal can be as an event setting.
Not every event needs to be formal. Some are about movement, atmosphere, shared interests and creating memorable moments. Whether guests are arriving by bicycle, classic car, coach, ferry or on foot, The Royal offers a distinctive base in one of the Island’s most characterful coastal towns.
With elegant interiors, subtropical gardens, terraces, sea views and a strong food and drink reputation, the hotel can support a wide range of occasions, from intimate gatherings to larger group visits.
The Royal is available for a variety of events and group occasions, including:
Our team can help shape the details, from menus and refreshments to timings, room layout, accommodation and the overall guest experience.
For organisers planning an Isle of Wight event, The Royal offers more than a venue. It offers a sense of place, a coastal setting, experienced hospitality and the opportunity to create something memorable in Ventnor.
Events such as Joyride Festival help introduce new visitors to the Isle of Wight, encouraging them to explore its coastlines, towns, countryside, food, culture and independent businesses.
For The Royal, supporting these moments is part of our role within the wider Island community. We are proud to welcome groups who bring energy and interest to Ventnor, and we look forward to hosting more events, clubs and special occasions in the future.
Whether you are planning a cycling event, car club visit, walking group, private celebration, corporate gathering or special-interest stay, The Royal Hotel would be delighted to help.
