The opulent dining room which comfortably seats up to 150 people, with its crystal chandeliers, high ceiling and ornate decor, makes a suitably grand backdrop to The Royal’s award winning food or choose the more intimate private dining area, The Albert Room which seats up to 40 people.
As one of only thirty venues to be listed in the famous Michelin Guide since its inception, we aim to give diners an exceptional culinary experience. Our expert kitchen team create sensational modern British dishes using the freshest seasonal produce, including crab and lobster from nearby Ventnor Bay, foraged sea herbs, lamb and beef from Island-based Cheverton Farm, and locally grown garlic, tomatoes, asparagus and heritage vegetables.
The Appuldurcombe Room is available for evening private hire from November – March. It is also available as the main dining room in our exclusive hire packages which are available throughout the year. The Albert Room is available all year round excluding Christmas, New Year and bank holiday weekends.
