We're delighted to announce the appointment of our new Head Chef, Ben Chamberlain. Ben joins the team with a wealth of experience from Michelin Star restaurant, Bohemia in Jersey with Shaun Rankin, as well as Alex Aitken at The Harbour Hotel Group before taking on Head Chef for three years at The Hut in Colwell Bay on the Isle of Wight.
Whilst retaining The Royal’s most-loved dishes and exceptionally high standards, Ben will be enhancing, developing, and improving The Royal’s dining experience for hotel residents as well as guests for Lunch and Afternoon Tea.
Ben Chamberlain said: “I have fallen for the charm of the Isle of Wight and very much want to remain part of it’s ever-growing food scene and culture. The Royal Hotel’s strong reputation for outstanding food and hotel experience has always inspired me. Taking over the position as the Head Chef at The Royal feels like a natural progression and I’m excited to merge my experience to further develop the guest experience. As well as enhance the Royal’s much-loved dishes, I think it’s time to give diners a taste of something new that I trust will surprise and delight them.”
